Getting to know Joy

Yesterday I went out to catch up with my friend Shekinah, because we haven’t hung out in a couple of months since school took over our lives this semester.

She invited me to chili’s to meet and hang with her and her co-workers. As always I’m mad hype and excited to meet new people. Her co-workers name was Mariya. I imeadiatly start the acquaintanceship with her ! Out of no where she ended up asking me

“why are you so happy?”.

This question threw me off because I’ve never been asked a question of this sort of magnitude especially so early in the greeting Of someone.

I immediately think because Christ! I am truly happy because Christ alone has given me joy and freedom and love. He is the cause of my joy. I didn’t give her that answer exactly in the moment but I knew that was why. She proceeded to ask me “Are you always genuinely a happy person?” I responded , for the most part yes.

I’m extremely extroverted and enjoy meeting new people. It also has something to do with my calling. I’m an Evangelist. That is why I’m excited. I am a reflection of Jesus, he loved people and I love him so , so will I. Loving Christ is freedom, for he shows you how to love him love yourself and others. If you wanna experience true joy give Jesus a try. And when you do it-all be like nothing you’ve ever experienced.

This joy that I have the world didn’t give it to me and the world can’t take it away. God is a bundle of joy, freedom,love, peace, confidence, patience , self control and hope all combined. Once you get a taste you’ll never wanna try anything else! - chigga ✨💛
